Knicks Just Need To Win A Game

Regardless what happens after today, I don’t understand how anybody can say that the Knicks 2010-2011 season wasn’t a success. We finished the season with a winning record and we made the playoffs for the first time in like 7 years. That’s why all the hoopla surrounding how far the Knicks can go in these playoffs is nothing but noise.

As a longtime Knicks fan, I’m happy that the team is finally heading in the right direction. And really now, what can Knick fans expect with A’mare Stoudimire saddled with a bad back and Chauncey Billups possibly out for the rest of the series? Sure, I’d love to see the Knicks get one or two at the Garden and make things more interesting, but no one should’ve expected them to beat the Celtics before this series started and as long as they battle hard and prove they belong, no one should make any noise when they don’t.

LeBron James’ Mom Arrested For Assaulting Valet Worker

There’s a continuing pattern of behavior about Gloria James that you just don’t like: the way she kept LeBron’s dad out of his life, the alleged affair with Delonte West (even if it’s not true, something had to happen between those two for that to even be a rumor), a drunk driving arrest in 2006 and now this:

The mother of Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James was arrested by Miami Beach police after she reportedly assaulted a valet worker because it was taking too long to have her car delivered.

Police said Gloria James had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and her eyes were bloodshot when officers arrived at the Fontainebleau Hotel at about 4:47 a.m. ET Thursday.

Police said several witnesses supported valet worker Sorel Rockfeller’s account of the alleged assault.

Gloria James was taken to the Miami Beach police department, where she was issued a promise to appear on charges of simple battery and disorderly conduct. A police report says she was released to Heat executive Steve Stowe.

As great as he is on the court LeBron James has shown a consistent pattern of immaturity and stupidity off it. Well, clearly the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
